Ed & Suzanne Gurski's Internet Web Site

The evolution of this web site started as a simple project and has
evolved into a dynamically changing site with new functionality and features.
The initial web site was very simple and each page was it's own entity. Today, the site is built with the latest technology and advancements. Additionally, each and every page is loaded through an open source Web Content Management System (
WCMS) which I have designed, built and will continue to enhance. One could actually say that this is a living dynamic web site!
The navigation system for this site utilizes both a menu and Java-driven system. If you do not have a Java enabled browser
you will need to activate Java through your Browser's options. Each menu selection on the left-hand side, will direct you to
the page you have chosen. Once you have arrived at that page, the menu will be the same menu as the Home page. In fact, the only
content that changes on each page is the middle section (i.e the area you are currently reading).
As web sites have evolved there was and still are debates on having a
HOME button/selection on each
and every page or a banner/logo. The
HOME button/selection is argued as taking up unnecessary real-estate on a page.
I am in agreement with the latter, so the Banner at the top of each and every page is your "HOME" selection
With the introduction of the web browser in the late 1980's considerable advancements have been made. In 1994 the
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an international community where Member organizations, a full-time staff, and the
public work together to develop Web standards, was established. Common practice dictates that all web sites should
follow the W3C's standards, but that has proven to be elusive. The W3C logos on the bottom of each and every page
indicates that this web site has validated its pages to these standards.
